To send a group message using dialogue, first you need to have set up the group. If you have not already set up the group, you can follow the Quick Guide on Groups and Groupings to do so.
Once the groups and groupings have been set up you can proceed to create the dialogue activity.
- Fill out the required fields for a new dialogue.
- When you get to the Common Module Settings section, there is the option to select Separate Groups.
The dialogue is still a one-on-one communication. For example, if there are 5 students in the group, it will send out the same message to the 5 students and it will create 5 separate dialogues between you and the 5 students. If the students reply to your message, you will be the only person who will see it.
If you want the other students to see what all the replies were then it's better to set up a forum and apply group settings (i.e. create a group and set common module settings to be separate groups)
