The default setting is for grades to be released immediately upon entry. If you wish to release grades on/after a certain date then you can simply hide:

• the Gradebook
• the activity column in Gradebook
• the student/s grade in Gradebook

To hide grades in Gradebook:

1. Click Turn editing on.
2. Click on the View tab.
3. Click on the Eye icon of:
• Gradebook to hide the entire Gradebook
• the activity column to hide the grades for that activity
• the cell corresponding to the student's grade
4. You will notice the item will be greyed out to confirm its hidden status.

For a Turnitin assignment, you can specify a post date after which students will have access to their grades. Refer to the Quick Guide for more information.
