Turnitin Assignments will copy across when you create a new iLearn unit for the next study period, however you will see an error saying ‘Duplicate copies of the same Turnitin assignments were found’. This means that it is linking to the same Turnitin assignment that was in the previous unit.

This is meant to happen because Turnitin is a plug-in to iLearn, with iLearn simply providing the door with which to access Turnitin. If this is a Turnitin assignment for a new study period, it is recommended that you delete any assignments appearing with this error message, and create a completely new one to avoid any issues.
